Just 3/10 of a mile to the Historic Plaza, about a 5 minute walk. Or a 5 minute walk to Canyon Road. It is truly so close-in that you will not have to organize driving to and from town. It's easy to walk home to Capitol Casa with your arms full of treasures from Santa Fe's many shops and galleries. Not like properties that promote walking distance to the Plaza, but which are actually a mile or more away.

Groups without a car have stayed at the house, and they were happy to be able to walk all around the downtown and Canyon Road, and to well-stocked Kaune's market a block away, the only grocery store in the downtown core. They took the airport shuttles to and from the house.

Also within very close walking distance are the State Capitol and Gallery, San Miguel Mission and the oldest church, Loretto Chapel with its miraculous staircase, many fine or casual restaurants, galleries, numerous stores for Santa Fe's famous shopping, museums, historic sites, cultural attractions, visitors center for tourist information, playgrounds, grocery store, pharmacy, Farmer's Market, coffee houses and chocolatiers.

Drive to golf, skiing (1/2 hour up the mountain), Indian Pueblos, prehistoric ruins, and the scenic attractions throughout beautiful Northern New Mexico.
